The performance done in the streets of Miami, is a version of one I did in 1999, in the streets of Caracas, as part of the video installation “Lejana”.

I dress and make-up as a homeless and walk the streets, handing people a paper that says :

I COULD BE YOU COULD BE ME

The purpose of this action is to understand what it feels to be ignored and rejected, to explore another self, to cross that thin line. By doing so I confront people and try to create counscience with the fact that anybody could be in this situation.
