OMNIART-Miami the urban art exhibition that has been regarded as one of the must-see listed events of Art-Basel Miami Beach, returns for a third time Friday, December 2 within several city blocks that converge at Northeast 13 Street and Northeast First Court – one block west of the Miami Performing Arts Center.
OMNIART-Miami, produced by the Miart Foundation, is the major Art Basel Miami Beach event sponsored by the City of Miami. OMNIART-Miami intends to highlight the work of Miami artists, art schools and faculty alongside internationally renowned artists.
This year, OMNIART-Miami takes place in two warehouses and several vacant lots along the Omni corridor, converging at Northeast 13 Street and First Court.
Powerful works by Latin American, European and Asian artists, curated by Julia Herzberg of New York, form a significant component of this exciting urban art encounter. General curators Tina Spiro and Dr. Carol Damian of Florida International University have included new works and existing projects by Miami and visiting artists.
