In BRCA 2, Nela depicts the mammary cancer gene with the starps of brassiere, producing a surface that is asymmetrical and has a distinct texture to it, in which a subtle difference of color indicates the particular composition of the genes' amino acids. The result is a tableau where repetition of the same element, the bra straps, creates a kinetic effect whose political dimension is expressed discretely but firmly.
